| On the left,you can see the three colors thus far and on the right a close up detail of the beginning of the blending. Note: I have used a blend of titanium white with Dioxazine Purple to achieve the variations in the first color. |

| Creating highlights under the final acrylic color coating was aimed at giving a sense of motion within each band of color. |
| In the green and blue bands the highlights are very pronounced. When the final coat is layered over, the highlights come through as gradations of color enhancing a sense of motion in the bands. It really blends much more than one might expect with these closeups. |
