"Commissioned Artwork - from Concept to Completion"

This was inspired by the client when he said he wanted something "contemporary"; executed by using the Microsoft Paint tools, fill, line and shape.
This conceptual image was achieved with PhotoDeluxe and Microsoft Paint. Specifically, the "smudge" tool in PhotoDeluxe under the advanced tab. This yielded some interesting textural qualities to the basic spray paint version
This rainbow swath was made with Microsoft Paint utilizing the spray can tool. It was the beginning of what ultimately would be used for the final concept.
This was the image that ultimately intrigued my client. It was done with PhotoDeluxe Business Edition using the special effects twirl function. It was the twirling of the smudged swath in the last frame that cinched my client's choice. The sense of motion was undeniable. Note: The crease marks showing the folding of the paper. This was used in transferring the image to large scale. In penciling in the image, I used it for relative mass and position sectioning off the larger canvas into 6 blocks. It was very helpful in gaining perspective from a small 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper to the 4 1/2 x 6 ft support.
Here you can, hopefully, see how the penciling in of the image on the large support is followed by the addition of the first color.
