To the left, you can see the view from the lookout point. Wow!

We could have painted here, but decided that we would take the "unauthorized" trail, which runs off to the side of the lookout point, and down the cliffs.

It sounded good in theory, but lugging those easels and packs down the cliff was no easy task!
Here is the view from about halfway down the cliffs. This image only shows one segment of the falls, of course.

We could have painted here as well, as there was plenty of room on the rock outcropping where we stood. However, we decided to get "up close and personal" with this waterfall!
After finally reaching the bottom, we looked up – whoa!

This location, like so many of the great waterfalls, is littered with fantastic little alcoves and rock outcroppings, all of which have potential as a plein aire viewpoint.
Another view from the bottom of Isaqueena Falls. The sunlight pouring across that rush of water was breathtaking.
A slightly different view of one of the outcroppings.
