After several hours of trying to work this scene, Scott abandons his piece. Nothing seemed to work.

Here, Scott has already broken down his easel and packed up, yet Tom continues to struggle forward. He will not relent! He will not surrender!
Alas, in the end, the subject simply proved too difficult to capture for the both of us. Waterfalls may sound easy, but in our opinion, they have to be one of the most difficult subjects to capture, especially up close. The moral of this story? Nature can always humble you. No matter how good you are, or how accurate your renditions, nature can always trump you. We tipped our hat to Mother Nature, packed our gear, and headed back up the cliff to begin our journey home.

Perhaps we'll return one day, when we have progressed to the next level, and Mother Nature allows us the opportunity to again witness her splendor, up close and personal.
